CeRP is housed in the former "Real Collegio Carlo Alberto", in the old part of Moncalieri, on the outskirts of Turin. The Real Collegio is an historical building which up until 1998 was a Royal College covering all grades up until the secondary school diploma, founded by King Carlo Alberto and run by the religious order of Barnabites. 

The management and renovation of the building is now supervised by the Collegio Carlo Alberto, a Foundation set up to foster research and teaching in economics, finance and political science. Since 2006 CeRP is a research unit of the Collegio.
